Heidi Hirschfeld has studied educational sciences / social pedagogy in Erfurt and Tübingen. After obtaining her master’s degree she held a position as junior researcher in a scientific project to evaluate the programme “Accompaniment of the entrance to professional life” at the institute of Educational Sciences at Tübingen University (2009-2014). In addition, she worked as a social pedagogue in institutes of secondary education.
Her phd-project deals with the “Relevance of socio-pedagogical support for the creation and formation of transitions in the context of unequal educational background”. By reconstruction of processes of professional support of school-to-work-transitions of young adults she wants to demonstrate how transitions are shaped by socio-pedagogical support.
